Article 116: Actions on validity of laws

The power of Parliament to make laws shall be exercised by bills passed by the House of Representatives and assented to by the President.
When a bill is presented to the President for assent, he shall without delay signify that he assents.
A bill shall not become law unless it has been duly passed and assented to in accordance with this Constitution.
When a law has been assented to by the President it shall without delay be published in the Gazette and shall not come into operation until such publication, unless the law provides for some other date or time for the coming into force thereof.
